Our aim is to be a world-leading medical equipment supplier committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our clients.
Mizuho started out in 1919 as wholesaler of medical devices in eastern Tokyo, called Iwashiya Nemoto Eikichi Shoten. After surviving the turmoil of the Great Kanto Earthquake and the world war II, the company capitalized on advances in medical science in Japan during the post-war period to establish itself as a leading supplier of medical equipment and devices. It produced a succession of products such as operating tables, orthopedic implants, steel surgical instruments and cerebral aneurysm clips. Over the last 100 years, Mizuho and its group companies in Asia and the United States have created a global network that supplies safe and reliable products tailored to local expectations and requirements in each territory. Mizuho is committed to working closely with and meeting the needs of the industry, while at the same time helping to promote improved health outcomes for all.
The healthcare sector is on the verge of a major transformation. This is prompted by changes in the social structure (primarily the declining birthrate and aging population) and technological advances such as IoT, AI and robotics. Times of great upheaval require the inner strength of an organization. At Mizuho, we are united in our mission to uphold the corporate creed of Honesty, Contribution and Solidarity, and the corporate principles of Customer focused, Innovation and Professionalism. We will continue working hard to earn the trust and respect of our clients, and striving to turn disruption into opportunity.
We celebrate the successes of the last 100 years with a sense of pride and gratitude. We look forward to contributing further to the growth and development of the health care sector. Our aim is to be a global leading medical equipment provider committed to meeting and exceeding the expectations of our clients.
